The potato was cut 
In half
Only to the point it’s 
Skinned existence was
Made worse

Half chopped and cooked and served
Half wrapped in foil and saved for another day

I hope that one day, my other half will heal
And find it’s way back into my arms
So I’ll finally be whole again
